Mother’s Day Photo Request

Mothers Day is less than a month away now, and despite the fact that we may still not be able to worship in the same space by then, we don’t want the day to pass by unnoticed. So, our “virtual” Mothers Day celebration will include a slide presentation of all the people in our lives who have been significant mother figures for us. Who are those important mothers in YOUR life? Maybe it is your own mother or grandmother. Perhaps it is the mother of your children or grandchildren. Perhaps it was some other important adult in your life who filled that role. In any case, we are asking that you email us photographs of those people for use during our service on May 10. Photos may be submitted by email to saintalbanswestwood@gmail.com. The above photo is Bob Honeychurch’s mother’s college graduation picture from about 1944. Photos need to be submitted no later than May 6 for inclusion. The more images we receive, the richer our celebration will be that day.

The Way of Love for the Easter Season 2020

A calendar for the 50 days of Easter, with suggestions for each day, is based on Presiding Bishop Michael Curry’s “Way of Love” commandments: Turn, Learn, Prayer, Worship, Bless and Go. A high-resolution PDF version is here. The calendar was created by Sue Van Oss of St. Paul’s Church, Duluth, Minnesota, and is shared here with permission.
